Mid-Century Bryohill Brasilia Rolling Bar Cart

$2,250.00

Mid-century rolling bar cart designed by Broyhill, circa 1960s. This seldom seen piece is a part of Broyhill’s Brasilia line, inspired by the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer. Niemeyer used grand arches in his buildings located in the capital of Brazil which translated into the iconic arches of the Broyhill Brasilia line.

This piece features three small drawers aligned horizontally with the original brass Brasilia hardware. The brass pops against and compliments the warm walnut wood tone. Below the drawers is a cabinet with two doors, showcasing more arches, that open to hidden storage space. Flanked on each side of the cabinet are open compartments for further storage to be displayed. The long rectangular top is well equipped for a working space. The ends have a flip mechanism allowing for expansion of the surface area. Inlaid within the top are two tile areas. Tile is dark blue in color with flying bird motif accenting the piece. The tile makes the working area more durable for making drinks and pouring cocktails. Sitting atop rounded brass wheels that are cohesive with the drawer hardware. The wheels allow the piece to be moved with ease from room to room. The wheels are able to be removed if you prefer. In overall fantastic vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. A wonderful piece for those who collect the Brasilia line or those who love to craft a good beverage.
