Mid-century six drawer dresser designed by Broyhill, circa 1960s. A part of Broyhill’s Brasilia line, inspired by the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer. Niemeyer used grand arches in his buildings located in the capital of Brazil which translated into the iconic arches of the Broyhill Brasilia line.
This collectors item features two smaller drawers aligning the top with carved walnut wooden arches. The arches dual as drawer pulls while adding a sculptural element to the design. The bottom four drawers are spacious and showcase the original brass iconic hardware. Sitting atop a walnut base that adds ample support and is consistent with the arch theme with its curved legs and swooping shape. We are offering the two original Brasilia mirrors with this dresser. Encased in walnut with arched bottoms. The mirrors attach to the back of the credenza, but could easily be removed and wired to hang elsewhere in the home. In overall fantastic vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
