Mid-century pair of nightstands designed by Broyhill, circa 1960s. A part of Broyhill’s Brasilia line, inspired by the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer. Niemeyer used grand arches in his buildings located in the capital of Brazil which translated into the iconic arches of the Broyhill Brasilia line. Square in shape and made from warm walnut wood. The arch theme is exemplified in the duo door fronts. Doors open to a large internal storage compartment. Sitting atop a sculpted walnut base. This pair would be perfect as bedside nightstands or would easily work flanked either side a living room sofa. In overall great vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
