Mid-century headboard designed by Broyhill, circa 1960s. A part of Broyhill’s Brasilia line, inspired by the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer. Niemeyer used grand arches in his buildings located in the capital of Brazil which translated into the iconic arches of the Broyhill Brasilia line. Suited for a queen sized frame and made from rich walnut wood. The wood has been sculpted to create an elegant arch motif as the focal point of the frame. There are cutouts on either side to create a bit of dimension. The rails come to a point at the top with attachment blocks below. In overall fantastic vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
