Mid-century tall boy dresser designed by Broyhill, circa 1960s. A part of Broyhill’s Brasilia line, inspired by the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer. Niemeyer used grand arches in his buildings located in the capital of Brazil which translated into the iconic arches of the Broyhill Brasilia line.
This dresser allows for a ton of storage without compromising floor space. Featuring two large doors accented with carved walnut wooden arches, a focal point for the piece. The doors open to four dovetailed drawers aligning the right-hand side and open shelving aligning the left. Below the doors are two larger drawers with the iconic brass hardware. The brass pops against the warm wood tones and furthers the arch theme. Sitting atop a sculpted walnut base and sculptural legs. The base supports the piece while complimenting the design quite well. In overall great vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
