Mid-Century Broyhill Premier Bar / Hutch
Mid-century bar or hutch manufactured by Broyhill, circa 1960s. Made from walnut and features two distinct sections. The bottom section has a bank of three drawers on the right hand side with slim brass handles. The left-hand side has two doors with rectangular paneling adding depth to the doors. Beyond the doors is a long internal shelf.
The top section features two glass paneled doors on the left-hand side with an internal shelf. Perfect for displaying unique bottles, glass collection, bar ware, or cocktail books. The right-hand section has a dropdown door. The dropdown door has a similar rectangular division as the bottom section. The front of the door has the original cane fronts and small brass knob. Beyond the dropdown is another internal shelf.
The side profile is angular and the entire piece sits atop tapered walnut legs. This is the perfect example of American mid-century furniture design. Unlike the Danish streamlined approach, Broyhill pulled all the stops combining a mix of materials and functionality. In overall good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
Dimensions:
54” W x 18.25” D x 52.5” H
