An early vintage model ES105 of the Time Life Lobby Chair by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller, circa 1960s. Originally commissioned for the grand lobbies of the Time & Life Building in Manhattan, New York. The frame is polished aluminum with aerodynamic curves. The frame is classically Eames in style and stability.
The upholstery is the original black leather. The leather has worn beautifully over time developing a wonderful patina. The leather armrests integrate with the frame. Both the back and front of the chair have button detailing adding visual interest from all angles.
Sitting atop an aluminum four-leg base, otherwise known as the Universal Base. The chair swivels with ease and is an extremely comfortable seated position. In overall fantastic vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. No structural issues to note.
