Mid-century sofa manufactured by Kroehler and very much in the style of Adrian Pearsall, i.e., the Gondola Sofa.
This long sofa sits atop a sculptured walnut wooden base. The supportive legs are rectangular in shape with each end coming to a point. The legs looks fantastic and enable visual interest from the front, but especially the side profile. The armrest continue with the sculptural walnut motif with wooden inserts that pop against the upholstery. The backrest is also sculptural as it slopes at each end to connect to the height of the armrests.
This sofa has been reupholstered, but not recently. The fabric is a light gray that is both soft and quite modern. The neutral color works well with the warm wood tone, creating a great contrast. Equipped with one long seat cushion and three back cushions with tufted buttons. In addition, there are two small rectangular pillows to accompany the armrests. The fabric does present some very minor wear, but no major rips, stains or holes to note. In overall fantastic vintage condition.
