Mid-century ‘Mr. Chair’ and ottoman designed by George Mulhauser for Plycraft, circa 1960s. Crafted from a single molded sheet of walnut plywood that provides the unique sculptural frame. The back of the lounge showcase the wonderful warm wood grain. Sitting atop a bentwood x-base allowing the lounge to swivel with ease. The matching ottoman provides additional comfort. Similar to an Eames lounge yet able to actually adjust and recline with the below mechanism Flo tilt and spring adjuster.
Accompanied by the original black naugahyde. The upholstery is in fantastic vintage condition with minor areas of wear present. No majors rips to note. A classic mid-century lounge with a sculptural and elegant presence while being extremely comfortable.
