Locally made face vase by artist Susanne Portanova
Quite possibly our favorite face vase by Portanova. A mix of the old world with abstract influences. Stoneware, underglaze painted on leather hard clay and clear glaze high fired to cone six. An off-white base color with bright orange lines contrast wonderfully. The contrast allows the viewer to easily distinguish the face from far away and it looks almost as they leaped off a canvas. Feels familiar and historical, yet new and exciting. The perfect vessel for a floral arrangement and so much fun to play with placement.
