Mid-Century Pierre Paulin Mushroom Lounges and Ottoman
Mid-century pair of mushroom lounges and single ottoman. Designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, circa 1960s. This iconic pair is rightfully named the ‘mushroom lounge’ as the shape mimics a mushroom in its natural state.
The back of the lounge is connected to the sides and front as one circular seamless design. The frame of the chair contours inwards and connects to the circular base. These chairs are bold in design, but continue to cater to the users comfort. The ottoman further plays upon the mushroom theme, creating a lovely little trio.
We have reupholstered this set with new foam and fabric. Fabric is neutral white in color and made from wool that has a wonderful texture. Fabric is extremely soft and adds a touch of luxury. The texture and coloration of the fabric in combination with the design, think shaggy mane. In overall great vintage condition.
