Mid-century ‘RT 200’ sideboard or credenza, made in Germany circa 1960s. This piece was designed by Heinrich Riestenpatt for RT Möbel. Crafted from warm teak wood with very Danish characteristics.
Featuring a bank of four smooth sliding drawers aligning the right hand side. Each drawer has a long teak handle for easy opening and great design aesthetic.
There are three doors that open to two separate spacious compartments. Two doors have the same handles as the drawers, but oriented vertically. The further most left-hand door opens to one compartment and the middle has double doors that open to one large compartment, both compartments have internal adjustable shelving. A fantastic angled border surrounds the face of the credenza.
Sitting atop a distinctive raised base frame. Tall teak tapered legs support the credenza with a horizontal stretcher connecting the front legs. The base is as well designed and gorgeous as the rest of the credenza. In overall great vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Original maker’s sticker present.
