Mid-Century 2167S Boomerang Sofa by Adrian Pearsall
Mid-century model 2167S Boomerang platform sofa designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates. Designed and made circa 1960s, United States. An absolute stunner of a sofa with both an ode to contemporary and retro aesthetics.
This long sofa has a straight section that bends at the left end creating the boomerang shape. Equipped with a triangular walnut side table that attaches to the back of the left-hand side. The sofa sits atop a platform base that is two toned. The upper half is walnut and the bottom half is black. The platform pops against the fabric.
We have newly reupholstered this sofa. It got the full treatment with new straps, new foam, and new fabric. Fabric is a green velvet and coloration is closer to a sage green with a little forest green mix. In our opinion it’s the perfect “natural green.” We have actually used this fabric on our own sofa at home with three pets and we can attest it is extremely durable and easy to clean. A perfect sofa for multiple styled interiors. In overall good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
