Mid-century writing desk model #1560 and chair both designed by Paul McCobb, circa 1950s.
Part of McCobb's iconic Planner Group series, this desk embodies the clean lines and minimalist aesthetic. Crafted from high-quality blonde maple wood. Complemented by long, sleek, tapered wooden legs that add to its streamlined silhouette. Includes built-in storage options— two deep drawers on one side—for organizing papers, stationery, and office essentials. Equipped with circular nickel concave drawer pulls. The pop of nickel against the light maple is elegant and a wonderful contrast.
We are offering the Paul McCobb companion desk chair for Planner Group. Also made from solid maple wood. Curved backrest that is connected to tapered spindles. The seat has incredible circular inlaid designs prevalent with many McCobb’s works. The legs of the chair mimic that of the desk. An incredible pairing for a collector. In overall good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
