Mid-century tall boy dresser designed by Heywood Wakefield, circa 1960s. This piece is a part of Wakefield’s ‘Contessa’ furniture line. Made from walnut wood in a dark finish.
Featuring five large drawers with ample storage potential. Four of the drawers feature the original metal cat-eye hardware. The hardware is quite unique and looks great contrasted with the warm finish. The top drawer, the handles have been replaced with new black metal knobs. Sitting atop black metal legs that taper, a lovely mix of materials. Stylish storage potential without sacrificing a large footprint. In overall great vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
