Set of six mid-century ‘Eva’ dining chairs. Designed by Niels Koefoed, Denmark circa 1960s. This set is made from sculpted teak wood with newly reupholstered seat pads.
This set includes four side chairs and two arm chairs. Featuring a high back design with three distinct vertical slats. The back subtly contours and tapers to mimic the natural curve of the human spine. Koefoed described the chair’s shape as “uniquely feminine.” The frame sits on tapered splayed legs that look incredible from every angle.
The armchairs have an added layer of design appeal. The armrests are seamlessly integrated into the frames with an ergonomic swoop. Instead of attaching to the seat corner or front leg like transitional armchairs, the ‘Eva’ armchairs anchor to the cross-rail below.
We have newly reupholstered this set with new foam and new leather. The leather is an earthy olive green. The green leather contrasts beautifully against the warm teak wood tone. In overall great vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
