Born in 1917, she was recognized for her innovative use of materials, combining fabric and paper to create vibrant and textured collages. She studied with many renowned artists and was a life member of the National Academy of Design, where she also taught in local schools. Her artwork often involved flat mixed-media sculptures, demonstrating her skill in integrating various elements into cohesive and expressive pieces.

Olds received numerous awards for her art, which was exhibited at various art exhibitions over the years. Some of her notable works. Olds’ work often combines bold colors and expressive brushstrokes to evoke a sense of movement and energy. Her pieces have been exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Tate Modern in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Additionally, her pieces have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries across Europe, North America, and Asia.
