Mid-century expanding coffee table. Designed by John Keal for Brown Saltman, circa 1960s. Made from warm walnut wood with great woodgrain throughout the top and base.
Fantastic architectural lines with a practical function. The rectangular table top features two walnut segments that slide together or expand apart. Once expanded the middle section is black and made from a durable formica.
The tabletop is supported by two walnut cubes. The cubes give the table sturdy support and add to the architectural appeal. In overall great vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Minor scratches and small dents found on tabletop as pictured. Sliding mechanism functions well without issue.
