Mid-century lounge and ottoman designed by George Mulhauser for Plycraft, circa 1960s. An extremely comfortable design that both swivels and reclines. There is a mechanism below the lounge that allows the user to tighten or loosen the reclining mechanism.
Featuring a walnut shell with excellent woodgrain throughout the back of the lounge. The headrest floats above the back connected by chrome that add great dimension and mix of materials. The lounge has a curved silhouette that looks fantastic from every angle. The lounge is supported by a four-point metal base with bentwood accents. The ottoman is supported by a similar shaped base but in chrome.
The lounge and ottoman are upholstered in black leather. This is the original leather as we have not reupholstered. The leather does show some areas of wear and use but without rips or tears. There is one area that a staple is showing as pictured. In overall good vintage condition with no major issues to note. Minor wear and patina present.
