Vintage abstract painting, framed in gold and signed Y. Thomas. This is a piece from our personal collection that we have decided to finally part with due to lack of space (the joys of being a dealer). The colors in this piece are absolutely fantastic evoking a sense of calm. Blues, purple, and violets are blended so elegantly in the foreground it almost feels like a dream state. The focal point is centered and horizontally oriented. A culmination of spherical shapes with alternating colors of orange and blue that bleed into a deeper brown adding a touch of warmth. The spherical center is the only area in this painting with texture. Usually we are big texture fans - the heavier the better, but the lack thereof really draws you into the focal point.
It’s hard to do this piece justice with pictures and this description. Signed Y. Thomas at the bottom right-hand corner. Potentially attributed to artist Yvonne Thomas due to the signature and abstract nature of the piece. Framed in a golden brass frame and in overall great vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
